1. Launch the VLC. Then tap CTRL and P keys to expand Preferences option.


2. Now click on “All” option located at the lowermost portion of the page under “Show settings.”


3. Then navigate to the Input/Codes segment and look for file caching choice.


4. Now modify the value to 1000 from 300 and then tap on “Save” button.


Deactivating Hardware coding


Many of the users believe that disabling their system’s hardware coding helps them to troubleshoot this issue. To do this operation, follow these simple steps:


1. First of all, Launch your VLC.


Now tap Ctrl + P, then go to show settings menu. Now tap the “All” option.


2. Then navigate to the “Input/Codes” segment.


3. Then go to the “Hardware-accelerated decoding” option and deactivate it.

Fixing VLC media by changing the video output module


In case you have encountered an issue of video lagging, follow these steps to prevent the problem.


1. Launch your VLC player.


2. Press CTRL + P keys simultaneously. Then a window will open on your screen. Tap the “show settings” option and choose “All.”


3. Now navigate to the option named” Video Output.”


4. Search for the module that suits you to fix the issue.

Turning off video output


1. Tap the VLC player to open.


2. Then tap CTRL + P for preferences option.


3. Choose “Video” option here.


4. Now turn the “Accelerated video output” off located under the display options in settings.


5. Then tap the “Save” button to save the changes that you have made.


Now check your VLC player by playing it to see that the issue had gone or not.


Increasing the rate of network cache


1. First of all, tap the VLC player to launch.


2. Now press the CTRL + P keys.


3. Then choose the “All” option at the lower portion of your window inside the “Show settings” menu.


4. Now hit the “Input/Codecs.”


5. Now search for the “Advanced” segment or “Network caching” options.


6. Now increase the network rate of caching to troubleshoot this issue of scrambling.


7. Play the video repeatedly to check the issue, whether fixed or not.

Troubleshooting corrupted files


1. First of all, shut your VLC player and get out of it.


2. Open “My Computer” or “This PC” option.


3. Look for the hidden files under the View menu.


4. Now launch the directory:


C:\User\User_Name\AppData\Roaming\VLC.


5. Right click your mouse button on your file as “vlcrc.” Then rename it.


Applying Compatibility Settings


Continue with these steps to ensure compatible management:


1. Just launch the File Explorer window.


2. Go to the following Command file:


Windows 64bit: c:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC


Windows 32-bit: C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC


3. Choose properties option by right-clicking on it.


4. Now hit the tab named as Compatibility.


5. Look for the link indicating to run the function under compatibility form. Then choose the option named as Windows previous edition.


6. At last, hit the “OK” button to finish the operation.


Deactivating pre-installing MKV files


1. Launch your VLC player.


2. Tap Ctrl + P keys to explore preferences options.


3. Go to the lowermost portion of the page and then hit the “All” option then press the “show settings” option.


4. Now open the provided nodes:


Input/Codecs


Demuxers


Matroska


5. Then unmark the “Preload MKV files” box.


6. Then hit on “Save” button.
